Paradise Carnival Troupe was formed by a group of young and enthusiastic individuals who knew they could make a contribution towards the further regional and general development of carnival to the Atlanta area.
Paradise made its phenomenal debut at the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Bandleaders Association (ACCBA) Festival in May 2005 and presented "Paradise Divas" in downtown Atlanta.
For Atlanta Carnival 2006, Paradise presented "Fruits of Paradise" and debuted a Children's Section. That year we were awarded Kiddies Band of the Year!
In 2007, Paradise showcased our version of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland as "Paradise in Wonderland". Again we received Kiddies Band of the Year!
In 2008, we took you to Vegas with "Viva Las Vegas" which earned us a 3rd placed finish! After that, we took a short break in 2009 and 2010.
Upon our return in 2011, we were royalties as "Lords & Ladies of Carnival" and displayed an "Aurora Borealis" beauty in 2012 and both times earned 2nd Place. In 2013, we were a "Spectacle of Glitz & Glamour" and were your "Fantasy of Dreams" for 2014.
In 2015, we paraded the streets of Decatur with the Atlanta Caribbean Bandleaders Council (ACBC) and feted like a Boss with "Samedi Gras."
In 2016, Paradise Carnival Troupe was proud to be "Celebrating Life to the Extreme" as we pay honor and remembrance to those family members and friends that we've lost from Cancer. Each one of the colors represented a type of Cancer and although this deadly disease has plague our friends and families we wanted bring out that spirit of continuing to live life and celebrating it to the extreme!
In 2017, Paradise presented the "Essence of Paradise" an explosion of Jewels, Razzle and Dazzle as we headed down the streets of Decatur.spirit of continuing to live life and celebrating it to the extreme!
In 2018, Paradise presented the "Fifty Shades of 3lu" allowing you to get your inner freak on through the streets of Stonecrest.
In 2019, Paradise presented the "Indigenous Tribes of Paradise" taking a trip back to your roots of the caribbean indians as be tramped down the streets of Stonecrest.
For 2020, We are presenting "A Vision of Paradise"
Paradise strives to raise the bar in costume production inspired by Virgin Islands designs and to provide an overall carnival experience that will leave a lasting impression.
